Here's the final map that could be viewed at the stables.

This is actually the map for the questers. All quest staff who need a map will get one. I'll also post it here so you can print off your own if you like.

Trivia goes on the back porch of Wagner, which is the royal cabin.

Here's the Staff Map. TOP SECRET!

I 've put Erebus (the underworld) down past the Reptile hut. We need stations for the Five Rivers and Charon along the way there too. The Rivers will be right by Pluto. Charon is at the bridge.

Here's the camp web site.

Here's what I got from Jonathan and Dame Anne. Jonathan's stuff in brackets:

The woods were pretty thick even when we were just there so they should be better by April. I think you could easily conceal a site. The water is a lake. However, there are a couple of ravines/creek beds some with cross over bridges and some without. I think one cool site would be across the swinging bridge IF Jonathan thinks folks in helms have the visibility to cross it (it is a wide plank bridge). Corby this is at the apex of the field. The equestrian path winds through the woods from the stables back behind the field. Jnathan can speak to that better than I .

[The suspended bridge should be perfectly safe for anybody to cross. It doesn't "swing" per se; it's suspended, so unless somebody's silly enough to stand in the middle and jump up and down....oh, wait, am I giving myself away again? ;> ]

There is a causeway or berm at the end of the lake. There is a small offshoot from there which is where the vigils wll be. No reason though you could not bring people across there and set up a site farther across. I do not remember a dock but I can't imagine there not being one for canoes. J?
If there was though, it is likely a floating dock...less stable of course than a fixed.

[correct. There is a dock and it is a floating dock.]

Blackbow is the man

Val tells me that Jonathan Blackbow knows the site better than anyone, and Dame Anne will know details of access to various places. I'll contact both of them, though I hope Jonathan will get signed on here soon.Que Les Mauvais Soient Dévoré de la Flamme

Putting Eyes on It

The more I think about getting the logistics right, the more I think I need to actually see the site ahead of time.

Not definite, but maybe I can get down there.

Vistiing the Site 3-9 or 3-11

At the moment, my plan is to visit the site Friday morning March 9 or Sunday afternoon March 11th. Anyone from the area want to walk through with me?

various

swamp is way the heck off the top left corner of the map. Sorry if I wasn't clear Saturday. There are actually two ampitheatres, and the second one is way way way up the top left corner near the swamp. Be prepared to walk yer little toesies off.

Also don't forget the paths up at the Pool Field which is north of the Temple of Mercury (north being the top of the map).

Maybe put the hydra near the reptile hut? hehe

What the map doesn't show is that the roads you see extending off the left side and bottom of the map keep going for a nice ways. You could put any two or three stations on any of them and still have room. For that matter you might have better "swamp" access on the road that leads past the reptile hut rather than the one that leads past the ampitheatre.

Where do the Roman Gods Live?

The greek gods live on Mount Olympus. Dang if I can find an online reference to where the Roman Gods live!

I need to label some large areas the way that the bottom left is being labeled "Erebus". It will help with writing hints to places.

Also, is there some generic roman term for "wild barbarian lands"?

Corby: I just wanted to

Corby: I just wanted to make sure you understood there is no way onto the back porch of Wagoner except by going physically through the building. But the back porch is up off the ground, so maybe people could just walk up to the back porch from the back, and talk to the Trivia station?

Yikes! good to know

Urgh. I thought I recalled some sort of deck stairs.

I'll double check with Val if this is OK.

I might be wrong but I'm

I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure there aren't any back stairs. I think that was done deliberately to limit access.

I guess we'll find out in 48 hours! hehe

Behind the deck

We're going to put Trivia either under the deck if there's room and no stairs, or in a tent next to the deck.

there's room under the deck

there's room under the deck but be aware it's got modern looking stuff under there. Shouldn't be all that big a deal though.
